Was thinking of putting 2 small vents on each side of engine compartment lid left and right of handle .... anyone think good idea to drill ?

Why? You could always just run the fan.

Also in the event of a fire, the vents might make it more difficult to extinguish. The whole point of the fire extinguisher port is avoid providing a fire extra oxygen (from opening the engine bay door).

@yam240sx .....would that bring more engine noise into the cockpit?

prob a little throatier engine noise .... was also thinking about making some sort of home made RAM air vents from vents directly to air box ... but would require some minor engineering thinking ...

You would have to account for any splashed water that might get sucked into the intake.

I wondered about the amount of air intake too but then I looked at the size of the exhaust and realized the two intake holes are big enough.

Again, just run the fan. I, like many I would guess, have left the fan on while cruising; it is hard to hear above idle.

well that just gets my engineering mind going as well ... why not add additional rear venting capacity so air can flow in and out litteraly probably dropping engine bay temps by 30- 40f maybe more ... as far as water getting in maybe mount hole vents about 4-5 inches above the floor .. shouldnt be a problem ... cooler air = more dense air = more power ... on a hot day the bay gets very hot

comon guys we have to keep up with the new SC models ....
