I have a 2018 AR210. My RPMs in my starboard engine drop to 6800 or less when turning to port. This happens no matter how hard the turn is, from barely turning to a hard turn. My boat also accelerates faster when turning to the starboard. Not sure if this is normal or not. I am the original owner and this has always happened, but it just doesnt seem right. The starboard engine has a max RPM of 7200 and the port engine has a max of 7300. Top speed is 39mph. Oil levels are good and it has new spark plugs. Any insight would be appreciated.

When you say oil levels are good, please elaborate. Where is the oil level warm on the stick?

Its within the hatch marks on the dipstick.

Optimum for our engines is about 1/4 above Low. The higher you go from there it will bleed some RPM's off. Also what elevation are you at?

Northeast Ohio. Elevation should not be an issue here.

I will double check the oil level this weekend, but why would that only impact a turn to port?

I was looking at your lower RPM's I can get a few hundred more, basically same boat. And I boat in Southeastern Michigan, so relatively same elevation.

Have you checked your impellers for wear or damage?

You will always bleed off in a good turn, it is how the pumps load themselves. but if it is just a slight turn then that needs to be investigated further.

Maybe @drewkaree has some insights?
