Hey guys I had some work done to my boat this spring and just took it out and noticed I was only getting g about 40mph at 6800rpm these past few weeks. I’m worried I put the wrong impellers in it.
Here is a list of what I had done
new intermediate bearings and shafts
Both pumps rebuilt with new seals and bearings
New plastic wear rings
New impellers
New reverse/forward cables
New spark plugs
Oil change.
last weekend was the 1st weekend to take it out since the repairs. I noticed I could only get 6600rpms out of it. I messed around and noticed the cables needed adjusted and tightened them to where they went to the stops at full throttle which netted me 6800 rpm’s this past weekend.
The boat is not cavitating at all just seems sluggish and not super powerful. Gets on plane easily.
Last year it would run 50mph before I had this work done.
any ideas? The impellers say they are for a stock boat.
