Low fuel alarm 2020 212S

My fuel got down to 10% on the fuel gauge. The low fuel alarm keeps going off every 5 minutes even after pushing the silent alarm button. Is there a way to silence the alarm so that it doesn’t keep going off? This is very annoying when anchored and trying to relax. Also, when I went to fill up, I was able to put 40 gallons back in so it looks like Yamaha has a 5 gallon reserve built in to the fuel gauge.

No way to disable the alarm tone, it's there to remind you that something critical is wrong - as you found out the mute only lasts about 5 mins and it goes off again. I rarely go out on the water without half a tank to be on the safe side, never know when you might require more fuel but don't have it.

Boats typically have a 10% reserve to give you a little extra running room.

@Scott Had this happen on the weekend...alarm seems to sound once you drop below 18%. If you're just floating, you can turn off the engines and the Connext should turn off by itself. Then turn the radio back on from the Fusion head unit at the stern and you won't hear any alarms because the Connext is still off.
