Finally made it on You Tube. I knew with inlet as bad as it was I'd make it on.
Definitely not for beginners.

See make 3:40 and 7:02.

maybe a stupid question, but why are the waves so turbulent in that inlet? i assume once out of the inlet, seas are much calmer?

Wind/Current and funneling in I guess. Once you make a Left(North) or Right(South) the white caps and big waves calm down but that inlet gets bad and current is outrageous. Plenty of people have been swept out/drowned in that area. There's paddle boarders that dare get close or people that fall of skis. Some people swim from the rocks you see in video. It gets crazy sometimes.

Nice.

What speed and revs were you running on the way out/in? Looks like it wasn't really that wild of a ride, just hold on, and keep the bow up?!??!

Not sure but it was around 20mph~5000rpm.
I get on plane as I pass bridge and set CC lower than plane speed and let it do the work with bow up for sure,
Hitting the face of the wave vs riding over it hurts too much.

Here is my video once I made it out inlet.

Pictures of Bayside Hardrock, docked mega yachts and downtown

Marker 3:13 looks good also, she's really keeping her "bow" up

Lol
Yeah a lot of 3:13 every second in south Florida

HAHAH! I saw that and posted on that video. This is what I said: That little sx190 knew what he was doing. I have a 212x and wouldn't venture into that. I thought for sure it was gonna be a disaster, but he managed well.

The dude in a tiny boston whaler with the red bimini knows what's up too. See that guy in a lot of vids. He tackles the toughest of days like it's nothing.

That looked like you've done it quite a few times.

In my lifetime, yes.
Multiple times as I boat ocean side and come in and out of two or three inlets to avoid manatee zones.

You made it look easy! I have watched tons of those videos and lots of big boats just get slammed in there

It's all reading the waves and using enough throttle to get nose through wave.

There are a bunch of power boats that get air and slam down its stupid.
To think all that boat $$$ and people have no clue on "how too" just because they think they can.

Just like those exotic cars that get totaled with in hours of driving it off lot.

That's why those guys are out their filming all the WTF moments...
