Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
He doesn't as I already contacted him. I was gonna be the first person to do it and make the templates for him and he was gonna cut me a deal which I might still do. I was just at the local boat show and there was a seadek rep there that told me they are starting to use it on the glastron swim platforms but they don't have a template for the whole boat.
@swatski I'm sure you get alot of dog hair in your boat too then? Hahaha. Two decent size hairy dogs. But do those dogs shed alot? I wouldn't think so really.
If marine mat offers the stick down then that may be path of least resistance and likely made from a very similar closed cell foam. This group is quite partial to @JetBoatPilot and his seadek kits because he is a wonderful vendor with great staff. I found a couple photos of my dog from last season (my wife probably has hundreds on her phone).
The first photo is Gunner's first trip on the new boat and he is loving the grip his paws get on the Seadek vs. the non-slip textured fiberglass of the old Seadoo Challenger. The second is later in the season and he is probably bummed because he just watched a loon duck under in the distance. Not sure how many dogs would be up on the anchor locker while underway but I bet without the Seadek he would not be crazy about it. That is his favorite spot as we go through no wake zones.

Gunner hates his life jacket. He would just lay down once we got it on him. Take it off and he was back to his normal self. So now we never put it on him. I know he can swim great is not an excuse. He behaves himself on the boat and we do keep his life jacket on the boat should anything ever happen. I am not telling anyone that this is right but just that if you have trouble with your dog wearing the jacket it might not be that uncommon.
I haven't had my dogs on my current boat, as I know they'll tear up the older upholstery. I was more curious about a new boat, especially the marine mat flooring. As far as the life vests, mine only wear them when we play fetch in the lake. Because theyll literally play until They collapse.
So I ended up going with the marine mat for my GTS 207. I'm going to do both swim platforms and the walkthrough. The price ended up being $279 which I thought was very reasonable as I was quoted $450 for seadek from a company that had the patterns for my boat. I'll post pictures later when I pull the boat out of storage and get it installed
