Max RPMS on 210 FSH

Hello - I have had my 210 FSH for about a month and was diligent about the break in procedure. I am only getting 7800 rpms at max throttle. Is that typical or am I running a little low. I know I saw a few posts/ videos that talked about max speed at 8000 rpm.

Your FSH's TR-1s are similar to 1.8s (3 cyl vs 4) and (I would think) are electronically rev limited at around 7,800-7,900 RPM, the ECUs sequentially shut off cylinders above certain number in that range.

I would think that hitting 7,800 RPM at WOT is just about perfect. It is in 1.8s.

(MR-1 HOs rev up to 10,200RPM)

My port runs much faster than my starboard motor. the tach on the information display only reads 8,000 but I have to back it down a bit to get it to 7,900 but the starboard only goes up to 7,800 and I have adjusted the cable. They say it is the angle that the water comes in at. I think the port goes up to 8,300 or so, I get up to 45 MPH. with the t-top up. I back it down to 7,900 so they are close but it takes a bit and you can hear the engine slow a bit to get there. When i was jumping out of the water going into a big chop the rev limiter worked great.
So I think it is 8,500 RPM max Smaller higher reving motor.
