I know I’m about to revive a dead thread, but we are headed to Holland in a couple of weeks (from NC) and want to boat down to Saugatuck. I see you docked at Coral Gables to eat. Could we dock there then eat and walk around? Any other options on where we could dock and walk around/possibly eat?

Also, looking at towing it up to Silver Lake to the ORV park and renting a Jeep or side by side and switching the kids/families out by the lake? Anyone do this, any recommendations?? Thanks in advance!!

Hey @J_Zinck ! First of all, get ready for an amazing time. MI is a gorgeous State to boat. The area Coral Gables is around does have docking basically surrounding the entire lake front so you can safely leave your boat and walk around, shop, etc. If you call ahead they may give some specific recommendations but make no mistake about it, this is a Lake Restaurant so you should be good to go.

You'll LOVE towing to Silver Lake. The Lake itself is a bit small, but the scenery is beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend riding the modified F350's they give tours on through the sand dunes. That's a blast for the kids, it's a great break from the lake and you get a bit of a history lesson on The Dunes. We have rented side by sides there before but haven's switched from lake to dunes or vice versa. You may want to segment the trips so you do them one at a time but hey you may learn something I don't know. Certainly seems realistic considering the landscape out there.

Not sure if this helped much. Hope you guys have a blast!

How did it go? I’m planning a weekend at Mears/Silver Lake in a couple weeks. Any tips would be much appreciated.
