I have a 2020 Yamaha FX and found this vent tube not connected to anything with the hose clip slid way back up the tube, like it was never connected from Yamaha. It connects to a vent end under the rear set frame (white), but have no clue where it connects to on the important end. I looked up the parts diagram and could not find it. The hose actually has the word VENT printed up the whole side of of the tube.

Once I saw your battery, I was thinking the same thing.
I think the dealer does the battery install during the prep, no?

I was thinking battery also, my audi has battery in trunk under the tire, first time i had seen a vent hose on a battery

Its on both of my skis but i removed them because i got rid of the oem batteries and put in agm batteries that are sealed

I pulled the battery last night after my post to check the levels and that's when it hit me. I saw the vent port. This is what you get for the $999.00 dealer prep??? Ticks me off!

Dealer prep is a huge profit for them - if they spent a couple hours vacuuming, cleaning, taking you out for an orientation ride, etc. it might be worth it, but when you pick up a new boat and need to clean it at home, it's a rip off. When we took the boot off the bimini, we had to unwrap the plastic on the bimini! Then they leave your vent hose off as a topper...
?
At least we got them to throw in the premium cover which is $1200 up here.

Battery vent hose when batteries charge they give off hydrogen gas and oxygen gas so if the hull filled with these 2 gases and a spark was to be created you would have a bomb. DC current flowing through water breaks down the water into oxygen and hydrogen so when you put a charger on your batteries it gives off those gases while it charges..
