What’s a good product for mold removal? I have a black mold that pops up on the fabric of the seats and backrests. Also black mold spots in the engine compartment, see the spots on the hose. I have tried typical mold removers with no luck and have been reluctant to use a bleach combo of sorts. My boat sits on a lift with a snap on cover all summer and is wrapped October to May. Suggestions anyone?

I used 4 damp rid buckets over the winter, maybe a little over kill. I like the idea of keeping one in there during the season. Glad I thought of it ?

I have 1 damp rid. probably should have two or three.

FYI - JetBoatPilot did a video showing various products they used to remove mold/mildew from seats. Starbrite Mildew Stain Remover worked the best...Just be careful to avoid the seams, because I think this product contains bleach, which might weaken them. Go to their website and search their videos...Good Luck!

Also, I agree with everyone else by placing several containers of Damp Rid in your boat. I live in Georgia and keep my boat on a lift year round with a cover and this helps prevent a major mold/mildew issue:winkingthumbsup"

In the second of 2 links I posted above the description explains that the bleach is buffered (safe for stitching), there is also another ingredient, Sodium Hydrochloride.
Likewise good marine stitching is usually resistant to many chemical cleaners Etc.
