I just scored a brand new Yamaha mooring cover to $250! New in damaged box supposedly complete. Not my first choice in color, but for better than half price, I'm not complaining! No instructions either. My question is the poles are shorter than the factory transport cover poles I had been using. Are the OEM poles 2 piece? If so, I may be missing the lower halfs. Can anyone advise or explain how it works?

Thanks!

I think that you're right about the poles being "collapsible". I don't have a set like that, but I do remember other guys mentioning that. Sounds like a bargain at $250. Good find.

Yep the poles on the Yamaha mooring covers are collapsible. Each of mine have 2 pieces and the bottoms have a round base, maybe 4" wide, with some rubber feet, and the other end has the straps connected.

On my old Sea Ray they were collapsible. Here is a tip, when you find the right height that gets you a nice not too tight fit, mark the pole with a permanent marker. That way it always perfect, and it helps when your installing it alone.

I figured it out. One of the poles is missing a rubber foot. Hopefully I can steal it off the old pole.
