We just bought a 2024 222S. I have been scrounging around online to figure out the proper setup for the line on the cover that interacts with the tower at the top. It's clear when I picked it up from the dealer it's not set up right and I'm hoping someone can help me understand how it goes or post a photo. There are two clips and a carabener what what I believe is a handle.

Did you buy it used? Sounds like a potential aftermarket addition.

Interesting, might be a change to the new covers? Did your cover come with poles and does it say Yamaha on it?

In the case of aftermarket covers with that middle line, the line itself is just tied to the tower which helps elevate the middle of the cover to prevent pooling.

I appreciate you chatting with me about this, by the way. Mine did come with poles, but I didn’t see anything mentioned in the paperwork. I swung by and checked it out today—I uploaded three photos to the original post. There’s also a small webbing handle that should be there, but it was just hanging on the rope. Currently, it is under the cover, and the weather was nasty, so I didn't get it out for the photo.

Did your boat come with the bow cover and the cockpit cover that are 2 separate covers? If so, the cockpit cover has a strap that goes around the tow point on top of the tower to raise the cockpit cover up so water won't pool on the canvas.

That's an interesting cover - is that a snap in?
