I was feeling bad about how the boat looked on the outside based on the nice comments I got on my previous post. It spurred to me to give it another wetsand and polish. The first side has been wetsanded with my milwaukee m18 sander. Starting with 600 grit, to 800, to 1,000, and then 1500. The second side was sanded the same then heavy cut compound, med cut, then fine cut. Still needs final wax and polish. I'm always amazed how it can shine again. Doesn't take long at all, but it's a lot of work. After this my next project is the wheel jack on the trailer. Surprised it has lasted this long. I replaced pretty much all brake parts a couple of years ago.

That's looking good, giving me hope for mine!
I gotta get it in the bright sun to see all the imperfections or places I didn't get as well. I'm also bad about missing wax dust and I get out on the water and like WTF! :)

Looks good! As tempting as it is at times, there aren’t any short cuts. Makes my back hurt just thinking about it!

Headed to the lake yesterday. Went from chalky gray to pretty much glossy black. I think I'm going to get a basic tarp to cover down from the mooring cover to keep the sun off as I don't want to do this again. Now that I started doing stuff I can't stop. New engine hatch struts ordered. New rocker switch buttons, straps for bimini boot as those always fray and break, new wake surf rope, cleaned all of my ballast bags inside and out (they were nasty), new straps for the bags, new cigarette lighter plug for ballast pump as it was rusted, etc. etc....
