MR1 Oil pump question

Has anyone here rebuilt an oil pump on an MR1 before? I cannot find a pump rebuild in the service manual. The outer oil pump sprockets in the photo has a small dot and the inner aswell. Am I supposed to align those front to back to a specific spot? Like timing marks on a SBC? Or are they there to define what side is front vs rear? Thanks for the help
