06 230... doesnt have high output on the top of engine. Max rpm is 10200. Are those the non ho or HO is their a difference in the max rpm between the 2?
Do you have a label maybe in the cockpit just beneath the engine hatch showing engine specs ?
do you know what impellers you have ?
Do you know the previous owner or any history of the boat?
My 2005 Ar230 was non HO and hit close to 10,200. the HO had longer stroke higher compression pistons not a big difference in performance. There is a label on the motor if the sticker didn't fall off
These all had the same motor there was a lot of hype on the HO but when tested on the boats was almost no difference. You will loose more performance with a few dings on the impeller or gaps in the silicone from the ride plate to the hull. My 2005 non HO and the same tachs. You have the non HO and dont worry about how much better the HO would be. I would have 9 people on board and pull a wake boarder with no problem. My friend had the 2006 HO we tried them back to back.
