I've been on Lake Guntersville many times in a jet boat (242X). We used to regularly lock thru from Wheeler Lake to go eat, play, explore, etc.... I've had issues with weeds before, but never had an issue with weeds in Guntersville. I wouldn't worry about it. The clean out ports make it super simple to clean out and get back going in just a few minutes.

I remember when my uncle had is small Sea Doo jet boat up on Catawaba Island on Lake Erie. It would suck up weeds like crazy, then you would have to go under the boat, pull everything then continue for another 10ft before it would suck up again. The Yamaha's are great with the clean out plug. Just go fast enough and chop that sh!t like salad ;);)
