congrats! @Scottintexas i went out yesterday for a few runs....the water was only 57 degrees:eek:

Enjoy! If only Lake Mead could stop the leaking. Lol

Lavon is over conservation pool and we are only 3.5 ft low at Hubbard. Hard to believe. We went out today and it was nice to have water.

I wish our local lake was full....sitting at 40 feet from 100% full right now. Totally boatable but makes for a shorter season and few places to beach or cove.

Oh, what full pool would be like! My favorite lake (Lake Powell) is 109.58' low of full pool right now.

Ouch. Congrats to the OP, though! Maybe next winter the western half of the country can get some rain and snow.

Amen to that @OrangeTJ - time to build a pipeline of water from the east coast! That, or put in a redirection pump at the continental divide. This never ending drought sucks.

I was out yesterday. Only problem with all this water is the debris. I sucked up a branch over by the I 35 bridge and pumps were cavitation bad. I had to navigate around the construction at idle then clean out the junk. After that I was dodging everything I could. Love the full pond conditions though. I actually have to walk up the walkway to my boat dock instead of down now! Crazy.

We went out on Saturday to Joe Pool Lake and I think it's 1.5 above full pool. There wasn't much debris that I saw, but we didn't cruise around much either. Me and the kids actually got in the water for a short time. It was a little on the cool side but wasn't bad.

I was also out on Lewisville on Saturday, it was great to see the water that high again but definitely a fair amount of debris. The lake has gone up 10' in 2 months. Took this photo and the 30-40' of beach is officially gone! 2015-04-25 14.57.50 HDR.jpg

The water is in the parking lot at my marina!

@Shuck Water is the bar and grill at that marina any good?? We have always talked about trying it out.

Ray Roberts is a couple feet down still, and can't believe it because we have had more rain than the metroplex. Guess they have just been letting it out to Lewisville. I'll tell ya guys, I don't like to boat in that debris or the chocolate milk. I will wait. I had to pull a pump once to remove a tiny piece of driftwood, and these lakes are more debris than water right now. Glad to have them full again, been over 2 years!

I don't think Powell will ever be full again, they say they are doing the ecological thing in the river basin. I think that whoever is in office controls the environment...FIRE the BASTARDS!

OOPS...sorry for the political sentiment.

Wow! I just looked again, we came up another foot in the last 36 hours! Only 0.68' below normal pool. We are up 5.61 feet in the last month!

Captain Jack's recently changed management (Marine Quest took over) and expanded the waterfront seating area. The previous managers were awful and the food and service were terrible too, reminded me of the days of Charlie's at pier 121. I haven't tried it since the relaunch, mainly because of the C rating from the health department, but I've heard it's much improved.

Why do all the lake side eateries suck so bad on lewisville!? Pete's is horrible, Charley's turned into Wet and Wet has a very limited menu and the service sucks! I tell you if a place ever opened and committed to good food and service they would make a fortune.

They would make a fortune for 3 months, but they have to pay the rent and light bill for 12 months. It is hard to make a go of it in a place like this...they do it in coastal areas but I wish they could do it here.
