N00b question. How many cables do we have?

2014 AR210. I know we have two steering cables.. However..

I had a cable break on me and reverse no longer works and one jet is stuck propelling forward. I ordered two new steering cables and two throttle cables, but when talking to one of the local shops about installing for me, he said I may need a shift cable and not a throttle cable.

So. Do we have 2x steering, 2x throttle, and 2x shift? Or are throttle and shift the same? Very confused now and want to make sure I buy the right cables,

Yes, 6 cables. 2 cables for the gates (AKA control cables) and 2 throttle cables. So each throttle has two cables in it. And then your steering cables are obviously from your steering wheel to the pump. My guess is you broke the shift/control cable if the bucket is stuck. If the one is broken the other is probably time to change as well.
