Need help please jet boat wont go more than 1mph

I have a 94 sea ray searyder with the merc 90 inboard took it out today it runs but won't go more than 1mph any ideas what could be

Are you mechanically inclined? What do you think is the problem? Can you rev the engine?

Are you getting the engine to rev and the boat won't move? Or the engine sits at idle or chokes?

Well think I figured it out somehow the shifter wasn't engaging all the way took shifter off not it shifts fully all way down hopefully this fixes it

The motor was starting just wasn't going fast only bout 1mph

Yes mechanically inclined but never owned a jet outdrive
