Team,

The jack that came with my 2023 Shorelandr' trailer is completely seized up. It lasted 2 seasons of light use, and it was never submerged in salt water.

I need a jack that fits in the stock location...can you please point me in the right direction?

FYI: The boat is a 2023 SX220.

Thank you all,
Ric

2 season and no submersion? Sounds like some quality lube and you would be up and running again

Team,
I ended up installing a Vevor 2500lb.

At first, I thought I was going to have to return it because the plate on the jack was not tall enough for me to put the u-bolts through the frame. Anyway, not wanting to give up, I took some time to study the original jack that came with the Shorelande'r trailer and the new Vevor unit. After 30 minutes of looking and thinking, I realized I could simply swap the center rotating plates and bolts from the original unit to the Vevor. This enabled me to install the new jack in the same spot as the original WITHOUT any modifications whatsoever. I also swapped the swing lock, as the one on the Vevor was too thick to slide into the hole in the trailer.

With a 2500 lb. capacity, the Vevor unit lifts the boat easily and for $47 at Amazon including tax, I'll worry about rust when and if it happens a couple of years down the road. The stock unit lasted 2 seasons before it nearly broke my back trying to raise the trailer with the boat on it.

Last thing and just for giggles...I added a pic on how to swap out a flat tire without a jack. :)
