My jack has been stiffening for the past couple of weeks despite lubricating. Make sure to “regularly” lubricate and cycle the jack, especially in saltwater regions. I replaced mine today with a clamp on from harbor freight to get me back on the water. When cycling the jack that came with the 2022 trailer today, the gears stripped and and the wheel post fell out of the jack. Please note I bolted the clamp closer to the waterline of the trailer so I don’t expect this one to last as long. But for $35, it gets me back on the water.

I give mine about a year. I moved my bow mount back and moved the trailer jack forward… this gives me a hell of a lot more life out of them.
