Philadelphia, "The City of Brotherly Love". Not so much the case anymore. I've hung out in Philly before and it's a cool city, but know you definitely have to watch yourself there. Be glad all they or he did was simply take your phone and not harm you. Lesson learned.

On my android I installed an app that I can track gps location and remote wipe if it does get stolen. I have used it once when my phone was brand new and my buddy picked up my phone and took it home. I gpsed the location to his house and called him up. It was one of "those" evenings and he did this by accident.

I've been concerned about losing our phones recently too. I've begun to use my phone with a lock screen so it requires a password to use it. I have it set so if a wrong password is used four times it will wipe the phone on the fifth try. It's a pain to use it that way but I'm going to stick with it.

Losing the phone is bad enough but I'm more concerned about any data that might help someone empty my bank account or investment accounts which would be a much higher cost.

I also have find my phone setup on my iPod Touch and Samsung Galaxy S3.

I think the pace of upgrade is not going to be worth it. I used to have the desire to get a new one every time one came out, but now the entire family has 5s/5c because they were due and my wife's 3g quit working the other day, but I have a 2 year old 4 and I don't see the need to upgrade. YMMV.

I don't upgrade always because I want to. Often times apps won't function right on old software or they crash. And often the latest software doesn't work right on older phones. It's an apple thing that almost forces you to upgrade. My ipad 1 that I paid almost $800 just 4 years ago is now almost a paperweight and can't even be upgraded to the latest software.

I was trying to think of any way concealed carry could have been useful in this situation. Besides being wrong, it seems like all that would get you is a perp walk on CNN followed by a clip of the guys mom saying how here baby was a good boy and never did anything to anybody.
