What's up guys. New to the group.

So my brother just got a 2018 scarab 195. 53 hours. We had it out over the weekend and got the tubing rope sucked up in. We started taking in water almost immediately. After doing some research I thought it was wear ring. Pulled the pump today and the wear ring looks fine but the impeller boot was destroyed.

Would that be the reason we was taking on water? And Also does anyone know the offset number for that or where I can get one.

Thanks

So, you probably managed to damage the carbon ring and/or drive shaft with that rope. Sadly, this means you have to check these things to find the issue and possibly replace either (or both). There's a very good and long post with a video here: Debunking Myths & Better Understanding Sea-Doo's Carbon Ring Seal | The Watercraft Journal | the best resource for JetSki, WaveRunner, and SeaDoo enthusiasts and most popular Personal WaterCraft site in the world!

This is worth reading and understanding. It explains things very well. But from reports of people sucking up ropes, it seems rare that this happens. But obviously this seems to apply in your case. Was the engine turned off as soon as the rope was sucked up? Was it restarted forcing the rope even deeper and tighter in there?

Thank you. It was turned off as soon as we realized it
