First, this site has already been a wealth of info and helped me get into my first Yamaha SR230! MANY THANKS!

Love the idea that there's tons of aftermarket options for these boats; just finding the right source from those that have been there helps....

Few things needed and wanted to see if the group had suggestions / leads and the best place to purchase....
1. Fire extinguisher size (missing from compartment)
2. Replacement nav light
3. Anchor that fits in the compartment
4. cup holder size to replace with stainless
5. grease suggestion for rear pump bearing
6. lubricant for clean-out plugs
7. replacement for snap-in carpet, thinking SeaDeck, AquaTraction, Blacktip DIY kit
8. Replacement graphics. I'd like to remove the original and update the look.

I have a lead on a FluidCore wake tower to install. Any experience with the brand?

TIA!

First of all, congrats!! I saw your post in the other forum, and I’d say you got yourself a well kept gem! For the anchor, you can get a Yamaha kit that is supposed to fit correctly, but I got one off of Amazon, and trimmed things to fit. Had to shorten the rod that it hangs from a little (the stock), and also the shank, as it was a little too long overall. I’m sure somebody will chime in with a link for the Yamaha anchor, I’m not even sure which one is correct for you. As for stainless cupholders, I actually got a bunch of them off Ali Express, but with recent upheaval in China, that’s a risk. And, it takes weeks for them to arrive. Not sure I’d recommend at this point, but they were cheap. $5-$6 apiece. Regarding traction mats, seadeck is the premiere product, but I couldn’t justify that kind of coin, so I waited for watercraft superstore to have their Black Friday sale, and scooped up a set of Blacktip Elite mats for 30% off. There’s a pretty good write up in FAQ about greasing the rear bearings. If I recall correctly, the grease is more about preventing water intrusion, which means be careful not to overgrease it.

Check out bigairwaketowers.com

I've purchased flag holders from them that far surpass the comp. They sell towers and may be worth a look. plus, they're having 20% off right now. You could save $$$.

Welcome to the forum :Welcome: . Great site!!!

Congrats and Welcome! Boat looks great and your list of needs looks really small for an older model, great work on finding a nice boat! Here is the link I use to cross reference parts in the event you need, it helps with the google search for OEM and non OEM parts. I find that partspak and boats.net have decent prices and good inventories for parts. For the clean out plugs if they don't need rebuilding then I just use a good silicone spray after I pull them each outing...Rebuilding them is a piece of cake and you can find the kits easy. Good luck!

Wow! Congrats on the new boat! Looks like the previous owner really took care of it. I'm going on 13 years with mine and still love it more than any other boat I have been in. I use Vaseline on the clean plugs and it has never failed me.

That looks like a very well kept boat. I would just enjoy it for a season before fixing anything that’s not broke. To each his own. Congrats.

Few things needed and wanted to see if the group had suggestions / leads and the best place to purchase....
1. Fire extinguisher size (missing from compartment)
"2BC" minimum size, available at most local auto parts stores.
3. Anchor that fits in the compartment
Just measure the width of the holder and look online for an anchor with a stock width that matches. Typically in the 14.5 inch size.
5. grease suggestion for rear pump bearing
Yamalube Grease A preferred or any marine grease available locally.
6. lubricant for clean-out plugs
Silicone spray from local auto parts store.
7. replacement for snap-in carpet, thinking SeaDeck, AquaTraction, Blacktip DIY kit
SeaDeck all the way.

I use the pool pump lube from home depot on my clean out plugs. It's cheap, works great, and they come in individual tubes.
