I hope someone here gives these a try soon, and gives us a good review. Interested to see how these perform compared to current Wetsounds and JL speakers. I imagine the Revo 8 was designed to compete with the JL 7.7's.

I have JL 7.7 in the rear of my 2016 SX240 ( yes I cut big holes and put them back there and had the seats reupholstered I'm too cheap to buy a 242). I have not heard the wet sounds but I'm hard-pressed to say they will do anything near what those 7.7 will do. They are absolutely loud as hell in crystal clear. What's the price on the wet sounds? I have six 6.5, 2 7.7, 2 10" subs and 2 6 channel amps all JL. I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about them.

@Drift Away the wetsounds Revo 8's are $399. I'm a JL guy but if there is one competitor who can compete or possibly beat JL it's Wetsounds. I'm talking speakers, not amps.

Over ten years ago I started recommending jl to all my friends. The only people that were disappointed, didn't buy jl... at first. Get jl everything and you'll be happy for sure. Don't stress if it's the car part and not "marine" grade. Unless you'll have constant salt exposure into the back side of the speaker, it won't matter one bit.

Well the only thing I don't like about the specs on those new wetsounds is titanium tweeters. I bet they will be be a great speaker with a slightly different sound signature then JL. Not that most people will be able to tell the difference.
