Not sure who’s heard of this, but I’m in Queenstown New Zealand right now and went on a custom jet boat yesterday. The company was called Dart River Adventures and was a great experience.

It was cold and rainy so less than ideal conditions. These things are flat bottom with aluminum alloy skins and they said they Only need 3 inches of water to run. There were a couple of spots where we were in very little water skimming over rocks through some rapids. 2 Chevy small block 350’s powering them so there was plenty of power! We were doing 360’s all over the lake and small river we went up and down. A crazy experience and if you’re ever in this area, definitely try it out. i don’t have great pictures of the boat itself but did get a couple of a cut away pump in their office. Not your standard Yamaha impeller!
