Was on the Bohemia yesterday there were at least four other yamahas, within a stone's throw. Any one from here?

Welcome. I live in West Chester but have a place in OCNJ were we keep our boat. I'm interested in learning of places to boat and use the Waverunners near the Chesapeak etc.

Hello flower,
The closest places to put in to you will be on the Elk, Northeast, and Sesquahana rivers. All of which dump into the chesapeake bay. Most if not all the marina s will charge you to use their ramps, some of the Maryland parks have ramps too.

There is a ramp at Pequea State Park above the Holtwood Dam on the Susquehanna that I've used this past summer. It is well suited for waverunners and opens to generally flat water and some cool islands to zip around.

Hi Flower,
I'm in Diamond Beach, NJ, just south of you. There are some nice areas around the Wildwood Island and Cape May areas.
I'm also hoping to connect with others that know some nice areas to explore.
Good luck and look forward to staying updated.

Thanks for reaching out. I haven't ventured that far South yet.
We mainly hang at Corsons Inlet with the boat and the 2 waverunners. Gets a little crazy in prime time weekends.

@Flower If we didn't feel like taking the ride down the Delaware we would drop in @ Salem and shoot straight across to the canal. From their it's a nice ride to the Bohemia. If you want to avoid any ramp fees try Pennsville Municipal ramp. Here is a link to Delaware River access boat ramps with fees and addresses.

I would call Georgetown Marina when you plan to go and make a reservation in advance. They have a nice built in pool, shower house and they used to deliver you a bag of mini powdered donuts in the morning to your slip. From there you have some nice beaches to hang out grill/ski/chill. There are or were a few seafood restaurants and a couple of clubs in the harbor near the marina with free shuttle.
From there you could also head south to the inner harbor.
I see we are both from SJ, from the sounds of it we have probably shared the sand bar across from the Deauville Inn a time or two.

oh and as @Pura Vida - NJ Yamaha mentioned nice options around Wildwood. I would check out Champagne Island. It's not marked on most maps but it's plain to see off of the North Wildwood point. You moor backside in the channel where you can ski or tube and than you have a huge free beach on the front side with waves crashing. No beach patrol no rules. Usually see a dolphin pod or two later in the afternoon.
