I think it's very location dependent. I spend half of my time on the Chesapeake and the other half in SW Florida. In both places, it's typically families using Jet Skis responsibly. Having rented boats and skis in the Miami area it's a shockingly different story. Skiers are nuts. Some boaters aren't much better, but it's out of control.

Most Ski renters definitely dont care or know about proper rules or etiquette

Honestly I think he got deported, lol. His wife was American but he was Colombian. He would come visit her on tourist visas while trying to get his green card. I think he overstayed one time and got booted, I only ever see pictures of them in Colombia now.

Weird couple. She was gonna divorce him and cheated on him relentlessly. They she got pregnant and disappeared for like 2 years. It was weird

If you asked me to guess... my answer would have been along these lines lol
