Anyone ever taken their Scarab 195 Open offshore and if so how far out? Thinking about venturing out a little ways, around 8-10 miles out. She seems to ride decent in 3-4 foot swells while inshore in the jetties but curious about offshore.

where you ride?

Looks like the inlet is wide enough to be safe, that's what I would worry on instead of off-shore condition. Just pick right weather (wind/wave), bring ePirb/Radio and start your adventure.

Jacksonville, Fl near Mayport Naval Station.
In Jacksonville as well, usually stroll down to St. Augustine Inlet from Palm Valley

How is the boat ramp there at Palm Valley? We've been driving down to Vilano and it was insanely busy last time and then also rough while going super slow as soon as you get out of the ramp area with the sand bar, inlet and cross wind all right there. I wasn't scared, but passengers were; more importantly, miffed when the drinks got watered down.

The ramp at Palm Valley can get a little crazy. It is at a narrow part of the intracoastal, lots of boats going under the 210 bridge, plus boats docking at Palm Valley Outdoors. I live less than a 1 mile from that ramp, and would rather drive down to Vilano, it is a better experience.
