Oil Change. I bought a 2006 SX210 with out starting the engines run. Seller said its been 2 years since last ran. so I opened the Oil Cap to find both engines dry of oil. There's a lot of misinformation out there. Some say there's no oil in the tank until you start the engines starts and runs 5 minutes. But I have no idea if that is safe to do without knowing if there's oil in the engines or not. The dipstick reads no oil.

Pull the lanyard so it won’t start and crank it over for 5 seconds and then see if there’s oil on the dipstick. It won’t show the actual level but it’ll let you know if there’s oil in the engine.

MR-1's are a dry sump engine. You should measure the oil level in the sump while running or right after shutting it down. The oil leaks down over time and you may end up with no reading on the stick, in the sump, the stick is not in the engine. I always checked mine while at idle, it will not spray out. That way I could better monitor the oil level. Fill it to half way between the marks, while running or right after shutting down. Do not fill to the full mark.

You could use an oil extractor to try and extract any old oil in there, and then refill with fresh oil to be sure.

So I'll try that next time...... So what I did was insert my 1/4'' extract tub into the Sump tank and fished it around until it when deeper. After that I removed the short 3/8'' hose that goes from the sump tank to the top of the engine and inserted the extract tub and it went all the way down and got all for the oil out of the engine. Its been 4 years since engines were started and hardly any oil in the Sump tank. Next removed the floor over the fuel tank and removed all the old fuel and also emptied the fuel pumps with extractor...."wat a mess!" Then I hooked-up water and both engines fired-up and ran great. I plan on an on the water test later this week, I'll let you know how it went. Looking to flip this boat as well! Thanks!
