Okay... Fess up...

That is one nice setup! Is that an old Huey chopper!

I loved that Airwolf show as a kid too. Along with the Dukes of Hazard, The Fall Guy, Riptide, Simon and Simon, Hunter. I could keep going!

Nice setup...unless I add a rating or two, I need at least a 3000' long roof however...

@txav8r I heard somewhere that you could just land an Airbus right in the river... at least once. ;)

Now why didn't I think if that! Well, I guess a beaver on floats would be an option...and how cool would that be!

@txav8r can't you just take a continuing ed class on the operation of a Harrier jet in a weekend? Lol!! Your neighbors would love you more then they love this guy. And we thought boats with open header through hull exhaust was loud.

@PEARCE your right! Not sure the boat house helipad would hold up to a harrier! @jawsf16 will have to fly a harrier in there, he has the fighter experience...mine is all from GA from small, to light and cabin class twins, turboprops, and corporate jets, and the last 26 years spent in heavy metal...but what a fun rating either helicopter, float plane, or harrier would be!

Wow! I actually know that house and my old company did some roof repairs on that boat house and the 4Story main house up the hill. That is Mr. Byrom's house. He is a property developer in the Austin and San Antonio area.
Go back to the house and slip him a Jetboaters.net business card !!!

Fun "Possible" fact of the day. The Atlantic City International Airport (near me) is one of only 5 airports in the country that the has the room for the space shuttle to land on. (So I hear, not sure if this is fact or fiction).

Fictionish. There are numerous abort sites and alternative landing sites. Likely one of only five civilian locations. Lots of military fields are capable. Probably in Wikipedia...

Yep here it is...

One of five civilian if you count Lincoln as civil, which it mostly is.

@txav8r I will get some jump jet lessons from the Marine Harrier pilot we just hired into the unit. You just gotta buy the jet! A Huey is like a mouse compared to a Harrier!

For a small fighter, that harrier is a HEAVY jet!!! Would I like to spend a few hours harassing the neighborhood with it!

@txav8r are you referring to the DeHavilland Beaver airplane or are you referring to something else? :devilhorns:

Well, now that you mention it, both sound good don't they? I always remember seeing Harrison ford in six days seven nights in the red beaver :winkingthumbsup"(dehaviland) on floats. Love that bird! But come on...a beaver anytime is a rare find!:p
