Wondering if anyone has had any success doing on the water temporary tube repairs. Scenario is tube develops a leak while out on the lake and instead tubing being done for the rest of the day, you are able to temporarily fix the leak so you can still use the tube, even if the repair only lasts til the end of the day.

Was thinking Flex Tape? Gorilla Tape? Airhead Tear Aid? Anyone dry off the leak and use any tape or peel and stick applications that would hold for at least a number of hours to finish out the day?

Never done it myself, but have a friend that is trying to get his tube to last the remainder of the year. Looks like an advertisement for Flex-Tape currently with 2-3 patches both holding air in the tube as well as holding the stitching togethor. It's well past it's prime and he knows it, but he's trying to hold out for the end of the season.....although he's been saying that since June.

Flex tape works surprisingly well for a quick fix. Bunch of my tubes and floats got damaged by a dock at a house we rented, and flex tape did a great job (items needed to be topped off each day). It now has a place in my boat's toolbag.

It will not hold high-pressure items like a stand up paddleboard though.
