The marina where I store my boat over the winter launched my AR250 today. I was watching them come .5” from the dock backing up that I didn’t noticed they failed to take off the stern ratchet straps from the trailer until the stern was under water. Then we got the boat off and I started it up and had no power and the engines were making awful noise. Came back to dock and observed they failed to replace the impeller access port caps. I have a broken hand so the dock worker put them back on, except he didn’t do it properly because when I finally got underway and started giving it some throttle, the engines cut and the boat flooded. The port cap had come off. I’m now in the middle of the lake. I let the bilge pump run and waited a few minutes then got to my dock barely over idle. The port engine sounds ok. The starboard engine has a bad noise at idle, similar to when the caps were off, that goes away with higher rpm. Engine oil looks ok in both. Any experience with this particular problem?
