Hey everybody! After lurking around here for quite a while and learning everything I could from the forums, we finally pulled the trigger on a 2017 242 SE. We bought it from a private sale and felt confident about its condition. I checked everything I could think of and what the forum had suggested and had about a half hour test drive with the previous owner. My family took it out today and I after firing up both engines, the starboard started peeing but port did not. I let them run for a few minutes with no change. It does start peeing once throttle is applied and after that it continues when brought back to idle. Is this something I should be concerned with? Is this "normal"? Thanks in advance for any help or explanation.

Im new as well, but I have read many times that just because water is not coming out, that doesnt mean it isnt cooling. Especially if it starts working after throttle is applied. Just watch the gauges.

Congrats and welcome. Beautiful boat. Looks just like mine with a different tower.

:Welcome:
Congrats on the purchase.
If water was not coming out the pilot holes, you likely had a slight blockage in the line - maybe from a bug nest or something. The pilot holes are not really cooling outlets, they're there for visual confirmation that water is moving through the cooling system. There is a separate hot water discharge under the swim platform for each engine from the thermostats. They should stream slowly as soon as you start the engines...if not, check for blockage or kink in the lines.
