Hey guys,

I have been doing searches and can't seem to find the best way to measure and ensure that my nozzles are in the correct alignment. I believe my left side is out of alignment because when my keel is straight my cobra fin on the right is straight but on the left it seems to be pointing inward a bit and causing other issues. My measurements to the keel from the fins are different also. If anyone knows the correct procedure so I know I am doing it correctly and within factory specs that would be great! Thank you in advance for any help.

From the service manual it states to measure from the pump mounting plate surface to the center of the adjustment pivot bolt at the nozzle. Then match to the other.

Basically you just pick measuring points that are similar on both pumps

Thanks @Neutron. I did something similar and they are not the same distance. I guess I was looking for how the factory determines that the nozzles are equally aligned as well as pointing straight when the steering is centered. I was just informed of placing a straight edge against the back of both nozzles and adjusting so all edges touch when I get the steering wheel centered. It seems like a very good way to ensure that they are directing straight back. Just gotta figure out how to ensure my steering wheel is dead center now .. ha ha

Here is the actual procedure
