I had to replace a 1.8l in my 18 242LSE. (Detonation I think) I found a complete 2020 engine out of a ski and dropped it in. I was dumb and didn’t do my research and let the shims fall. I have the new one in and has been working fine all year. It does however sound different than the other engine. More racket especially on start. Im pretty certain it’s because of the alignment and was wondering if anyone knew an alignment Guru in the NorCal SF/Sac area or even in Reno? Would love to have it dialed.
