Overheat alarm

Hey All! I ran my 210 fsh in the driveway for about 1 minute to warm the engines to check the oil levels. The overhead alarm came on and said to see a yamaha dealer. Is this something that needs reset or will it be okay when we get to the water? There is no way any damage was done in that short period of time and I turned off the second the warning popped up.

Probably not enough water pressure (or you didn't have a valve turned on or something). Should be fine next time you get in the water. ECU may store the code, but no harm there.

You might get the alarm/check engine light when you get in the water but once you run it for a minute and the water pissers start working the alarm/check engine light will not come back the next time you turn it on.

If it doesn’t clear after your first outing the dealer told me to clear it this way: batteries on, key on, let connext boot, key off, batteries off. Do this up to 5-10 times and it will clear.
