So I have an 08 sx230... my kid was messing with the cap that covers the anchor lite pole hole and it snapped off in her hand... where should I look to source that.

2008 Yamaha SX230 HIGH OUTPUT (SXT1100CG) Electrical 3 | Babbitts Yamaha Partshouse part# 11 F1C-U8147-10-00 although it looks like it may not be available anywhere and may have been updated to a part # F1C-U8147-11-00 which is available for less than $40 most places

All I need is the top flap that closes when the pole isnt in.... I guess it's all one assembly?

look on eBay or amazon, you can get a whole new socket and light pole for 20 bucks.

Dang! Too late! Lol. I ordered the socket and some door trim from partzilla.

I presumed that you were looking for an identical match to what was there. If not, then yeah you probably could get an aftermarket replacement somewhat cheaper.

One of the pins broke off in my socket. I ordered a different socket and when it came in, I took the pins out of the new socket and put then in the old socket. Please easy fix.
