Hey all so this a different situation. We are in Georgia here they require property taxes on the boat. The county doubled the property taxes because the the price for sale of the same model of boat (only one in 100 miles) was almost double what we paid for ours. The county then realized the boat isn’t parked at our house so we Shouldn’t even be paying them we need to pay the county where the boat is. The boat is at a slip fill time which is a military recreational site, tax exempt. Can the county where the slip is still charge is property taxes when it’s on federal exempt
Property?

I don’t think they can. I lived in GA for 17 years until recently. They were always aggressive in trying to tax my aircraft, it was in a DE LLC and after much back and forth with the office in Rome, GA they stood down.
