I've used almost every Nikon over the last 4 years. I currently have the Df and use my brother's d800 every now and then. I have 70-200 2.8 vrII which is my go to lens, some older mf primes, 50 1.4, and a vintage 24-85. I shoot events mainly as dance dad.

Wow...some amazing shots in this thread...I dabble...I use a Nikon D5000

You guys are talented! Jim (@buckbuck ) from the other site and Amy (@Sheboat) are the official Midwest Gathering photographers. They take some very nice photos. Back in the day, when Jasonstl739 lived in the Midwest, he showed up to the gathering with his wife who is a professional photographer. However, they moved to Florida (who would want to do that? Lol) and bought a center console boat. I am hoping to get more into video with my new GoPro Hero 3+. I bought it just for Scuba Diving, but know that I will use it while on the boat a lot this summer.

I love this photo. Very sharp. Great colors. Good bokeh. Pretty subject. Good composition. Nice action shot. Really nice.

After years of photos she finds me out and knows where to look. I was fortunate to have a rare day game.

I just bought a gopro 3+ black edition along with the fastest 32GB card available, a float kit, bare "naked frame", spare battery and 1 yr replacement plan.

Right after that i saw the jvc addixxion sport camera for $100 and all the accessories for about $30 more. I was tempted to buy both or exchange the gopro for it but ended up keeping everything mentioned earlier.

If I didn't already have a lot invests in gopro gear I would probably buy one of these first as a starter / test camera. $100 for a water, dust, shock and cold resistant hd camera with an LCD and vibration reduction, oh it's caseless (no extra shell like the to pro) as well. Wow, I'm may go back tomorrow.

Here are pics of my wife's new camera, a sony qx-10: 18 MP, 10x optical zoom, image stabilization, its own memory and wireless control and viewing via a smart phone. Also attached is a pic of my dog from this camera. The pic of both gopros shows how you tell the difference between the two. If the "3/+" is white it's a white edition camera. Last is a pic of the clamp mount I put together for $5 at home depot.
