Picking up New 242 Limited S Tomorrow

I really like it too. Def going to put it on the mod list. Thanks for sharing.

I have seadek already installed where the handles would go so I wonder how that would work?

Awesome set up. The wife shining up the boat with Maguire's detail spray. Does life get any better? You are a lucky man to have a helper! Did you install the boat houses and lifts while you lived there or previous owner? Curious what a set up like that would cost for all of the housing/decking/roofs/lifts (excluding the boats of course).

I would think it shouldn't be a problem. You may want a neoprene washer to separate the materials but as long as you use pilot holes you should be good.

PS: Watch out for the wiring for the nav lights when you install.

Ok good deals. Thanks for the info

@NewBoater Agreed - awsome to have a partner who hates water spots as much as I do. With 3 black boats on a mud bottom, East Texas lake, it is a constant struggle but worth the effort. As noted earlier, the sprayer was broken on the hot sauce so had to go to a pretty good Meguires backup.

We call the dock "Frankendock" as it is the started out as a one bay with covered porch, small storage area and sun deck when we bought the place. We added the larger boat bay originally for a pontoon with the Malibu in the other one. The jet skis were on swing out lifts. We later added the jet ski dock with a lowered loading deck and an extra storage shed. Bought a couple of used floating jet boat docks on Craigs list to make the daily riding easier. Really love those things.

Like our boats its still a work in progress. Our addition costs for just the structures were in the 50K area. Lifts, V-notch cradle (now not needed) and other hardware / additions were extra. I would imagine we have a lower cost of construction than Virginia. We are quasi constant level so we can have set docks with piles that are not real expensive versus some of the other alternatives.
