Hello this is a great position for a chart plotter in a 2015 242 Ls. It can swivel and tilt up down for cruising

standing up. It is mounted over and thru the stainless steel cup holder. With one hole in the cup for the cables on one side and a post with a lock nut up the center. The cup holder may not need replacing when I sell the boat!

Thanks, Mike

That is a great place to put that. I will have to remember when I install one.

I've been bashing my brains on where to install one on my AR240. that's an excellent location. thanks for the post. now I have more options on a GPS.

Can you show a pictures from the back side to see how you mounted in into the cup holder. Thanks, great location. I have the same chartplotter, where did you find power to plug it in.

@Mauimike i'm currently fabricating a mount for my 50DV and it will be a few weeks before i get on the water. i haven't ordered the wire for the power and ground (did you extend, then direct connect to the negative battery and the positive switch terminals?), so i haven't actually seen the graphics yet. is the one you're showing the stock map or BlueChart?

It is a Blue Chart G2 chip. I had it done sorry no help. I took some pics for you.
Mike
