Hey guys, looking to purchase a 2005 Seadoo Speedster 200 with 310 hp, which is ideal to me since I dont have to mess with the superchargers. Going down on thursday for a water test but we agreed on $8000. Any known issues I should be looking for? They claim the boat has around 100 hours (no hour meter) and it seems pretty accurate. Seems like a good boat for my wife and two young kids. Money is pretty cheap as well.

I took a pass on a couple 415 models about a grand or two higher than this one because they couldnt tell me if the SC has ever been rebuilt, would just rather run N/A. I am very DIY friendly also so turning a wrench is no problem for me.

Mississippi registration number on it? Seems odd for up there--I'd ask about that and clean title.

The only stuff I would offer would be normal stuff... smell the oil, check the impeller, check the bilge in multiple points, make sure it runs well, steering turns, forward & reverse is smooth. Trailer looks galvanized, but check the bearings, tires, lights. Ask about flushing (assume given your area it has been in salt) (but by the same token realize everyone says they do--asking for details can help you guess whether it actually was), oil changes, major repairs (to hull and motor).

I was thinking the same, but they've sold two other boats in the past 6 years, all from MS and they RV so i assume thats one of their spots.
I did ask about salt, they said never been in. I have a water test on thursday and will take it home if everything checks out.
