Looking for a printable owners manual for 2024 SX220

Is there enough info in an owners manual to justify buying a printed copy? Save your money and get a service manual if anything.

Owners manuals seem to be a never ending stream of CYA info keeping new owners from eating the plastic the boat was shipping in (smile)

You are right the service manual covers the important stuff from the owners manual in the introduction

I maybe a tiny bit anal retentive, but I’d want a copy of both so I can give them to the next guy! The owners manual is only $17 and I honestly don’t recall buying anything boat related for under $20 over the last 20 yrs.

Teach a guy to fish. Then link to this forum and the online manual. Both are free.

This forum is worth way more than a users manual.

Personally I'd rather have the electronic copy of the manual anyway. Easier to search, save the important parts, and can view it on my phone wherever I am. :)

I haven't gotten hold of the service manual yet. I saw that you can by temporary access to a web version of it. Probably with a little bit of effort, it can be converted to PDF and saved indefinitely.

I used to think the same way and then I got old…er and could no longer zoom in enough for me to see anything on my phone! I bought a paper manual back in 2011, because that’s all there was back then and it only cost $45! It hasn’t cost me dime since and the important parts (to me) are marked with a sticky note so they were easy to find. It comes down to preference. $80 for a year of access to an electronic version or $90 forever?

Yup my eyes are getting tired so its easy to take a picture of a page with your phone and zoom in

I wish we could pay and download PDFs of both owners and service manual. Seems silly to me that I can access owners manual online any time but can’t download it. Maybe another old guy thing but I don’t want to have cell service in some remote place to access.
Cheers

PS - I love me a good owners manual. Bought a Honda Pioneer UTV yesterday came home, downloaded owners manual PDF (ya hear that Yamaha?) and read it. Sure it was 100 pages before I was allowed to start the thing but I learned a few important things along the way.
Cheers

I agree, but I guess that's because people would share them and they would effectively become free.
