I’m replacing the oem stereo system on my 2010 242 LS. The head unit and wireless swim deck remote are branded H2O Marine.

Does anyone know if the swim deck remote is mounted with screws or just double sided tape?

Also, is it hard wired to power or does it have a battery?

For context, I don’t want to remove the cover surrounding the clean out ports unless I need to and I won’t need to if the remote runs off a battery. Removing the cover would allow me to see if the remote is mounted with screws but I’m hoping someone here is already knows the answer(s) and is willing to share it/then with me.

So the answer is, the remote is wired. The wireless remote modules under the helm had me fooled until I remembered that the boat came stock with a wireless remote as well. I also got the brand wrong. Finally if it was wireless the battery would probably have died years ago.
