I am still debating on which Seadek style to get. I saw @bronze_10 faux teak last night and it looked great. (Thanks again @bronze_10!). But wondering if anyone in the Raleigh area has the brushed with border style that I might be able to take a peek at.

@waterboy has the brushed grey over black with the border style that looks really good.

Water boy, you mind me asking how much it was to do the whole boat? Also, Did you do it yourself?

@NewBoater Check out the group buy above. That is what I did last year. Also in the 2015 thread in plenty of info on everyone doing it themselves. I will let that thread speak for itself rather than rehash.

I had a long day removing 9 year old seadek and took my time on the install. Overall not too bad.

@waterboy have you had any issues with good ole Carolina clay on that much surface area? even with my teak pattern i notice it stains the gray, but is "diluted" by the black lines. It can be washed out.

@NewBoater as a detail: Seadeck is a closed cell product whereas Hydroturf is open cell. big difference for cleaning, stains, maintenance, etc

I haven't done the scotch guard thing yet...I hear it can get slippery

no stains yet, but I do not beach the boat near clay so I would get only incidental contact. in your case, at your place, you need to be careful about feet coming down the path to your dock with all that clay. You need a dip tank before boarding :D

A lot of our lake bottom is Georgia Red Clay and I was worried about stains. Ive cleaned my Seadek with $1 store L.A.'s Awesome Cleaner and it looks new.

I know that cleaner. It truly is awesome!!! For a buck too !!!!!!!

Havent tried it on the seadeck yet. Oddly....will do!

@96Pirate here is what I have. I don't remember what style it is. If you just skip to the very end of video you can see final version. Next time you are in Greenville for game I would be happy to show you if this is what you were looking for.

Great job @mrmeaniemeateaterman Man that was a fast job:). I have a couple weeks to decide but it is down to what you have ( faux teak) and the brushed with border.

Thanks for sharing. Next time I am in G'ville I will let you know.

I'm in the same boat as you @96Pirate. Looking at both styles myself. Going grey for sure. But haven't decided faux teak or brushed. I'm thinking brushed for me. Seems a little less busy and maybe a little easier to clean.
