My starboard engine seems to have much more of a rattle coming from it at idle than I remember it having. The boat operates fine, but it just seems louder than it used to. Curious if anyone has any ideas of what to look at, intermediate bearing, shaft coupling, shaft bearings, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Pump bearings and pump liner swelling would be my first guesses, and where I might start looking if it was me.

X2 on the pump bearings.

Pull the clean-out plug and grab the shaft. If it moves, stop using using it and replace the bearings. I grenade mine after not acknowledging the ping / rattle noise.

Water intruded the bearings and washed every bit of grease out. Once it started pinging, it did not take long to shred them.
