Good morning ,
I have 2014 190, and been noticing strange rattling noise that occurs when i shift from Forward to Neutral when coming off plane. I always slow down gradually, pulling on the throttle then shift to neutral thats when the rattling starts and its getting worse. Another thing I've noticed its that i can't get past 6800 or maybe 7k rpms. Any insight or suggestions ?
Thanks
Rob

do you have any steering assist, Fins or vectors on your boat?

have you looked/moved your reverse bucket by hand to see if it's loose ?

I would have someone work the throttles while you watch the bucket movement and check for any slop,

I might even disconnect the reverse cable to move the bucket by hand,

how long did the boat sit over the winter, 1 month, six months???
did you use any fuel stabilizer before you put it up for the winter ?
did you add any seafoam or such this spring before you went out ?
how many hours have the engines ran this spring?
how many times have you filled the fuel tanks this spring?
when was the last time the spark plugs were changed?

I see your in AZ, as long as your boating at the same elevation as last year we can rule that out,

oil and air filter look ok ??

I would guess and say fuel, even though you've filled up twice you've only ran the engines for 8 hours,

Unless it's causing you some issues (can't pull people or costing you 10-15mph) I think I'd pour some seafoam or whatever you think in the tank and run it a few more tanks,

if your not sure when the last time the plugs were changed it probably wouldn't hurt to do that, if nothing else it's cheap and gives you some personal time with your engine,
