Pulling trigger on a new SX 190. My first JET Boat. What are some recommendations I should get for this? I'm not looking to gain anymore top speed. I just don't know what I don't know about owning one of these.

:Welcome: to the best forums on the ole interwebs! Plenty of folks here that will "help" you spend your money on those accessories! Do a search or browse the the 190 section and you can find lots of ideas. We've owned a '13 SX190 and now have a 18 SX195 similar layouts so we had an idea of where to start. The new boats are longer, wider and have a different layout. However, I would look into buying a set of fins from @Cobra Jet Steering LLC after you get out on the boat and get a feel for the handling of your new boat, with the addition of the articulating keel in '16 the '190's have a big improvement in handling, so take her out and if you feel you need some additional improvement the fins that Jeff sells are fantastic. If you are going to be in large area's a GPS is always a nice addition. Depending on the type of currents/tides you may need a different type of anchor. So really it's going to depend on your personal usage, area you live in (if you have a limited season) you might want/need a battery tender/charger. Jump on into the boards here look around, research, and if you have questions ASK you will get plenty of help/advice! Most importantly when you pick her up post pics!
NOW!

Thank you. I was going to keep the bumpers and anchors from my old boat, but my mom and step dad are buying it, so now I'll have to buy new stuff like that (couldn't do that to my mom). I live in upstate NY, fresh water lake boater. Owned a I/O, OB, and this is my first jet and first new boat.

Replace the bow roller with a Stolz or similar is the first thing I usually suggest to new Yamaha owners. You shiny new hull will thank you!

Thank you. I've seen this now a couple places so I def will do this!

Brand new 2020? If not, the storage door to the area behind the helm is a HUGE improvement.

Hi and welcome to the forum. As noted, bunch of good people here to keep you safe AND on the water. We also like (to help you) spending your $$. Check out peoples signatures. Some (like me) display what mods they did to their boats. I owned a 2015 SX-192. Kept it for 3 years. Super easy to work on and maintain. Coming from other types of boats, steering may be challenging. Was for me. Ended up with the Cobra fins (as mentioned). They helped ma a lot; just felt more confident.

Good luck and share pictures. We all love pics. Thanks for joining. Enjoy...

No pics yet, signed Docs, boat in dealer storage, once this pandemic thing is lifted they can get back to work here in NY

Welcome! And to answer the initial question of "What accessories to get?" the answer is YES! Joking aside, my best advice is to get the minimum required safety gear, and use the thing. If you've had a boat before (sounds like you have) then the things that need to be addressed will be apparent from early on. You'll likely notice a difference in steering, there are a couple different fixes for that. From there, the sky is the limit!

A gps fish finder with side scan sonar would be high on my list...A garmin striker or similar that lets you chart your route and mark known obstacles.
