If it is anything like the swim platform remote on my 08 212X... I was able to to just barely reach far enough through the clean out tray to put a small deep socket onto two nuts behind the remote and back them off to loosen and remove the remote.
When I did the stereo in my old 2012 SX240 I pulled the drink holder nearest the remote and accessed it from the rear that way. The drink holder is just held in with silicon so I just had to work it loose and then replace it with fresh silicon.
I can't swear to it on the SX210 but I would imagine that the same method would work.
On my o7, when I replaced the factory remote with my new kenwood, I gained access thru the starboard cockpit aft storage under seat. I unscrewed carpeted/plywood divider panel at the back, and squeezed back in there, It was a bit tight for me 5'11" 175# and i do not have claustrophobia issues, but I got in there to remove the old and fasten the new.
@buckbuck I found the same model replacement on ebay... Technically there waa some minor change from my original, as the backlighting is blue rather than the previous red, but otherwise identical.
My desire is to remove it and patch the hole. I got tired of the volume accidently turning up every time a wakeboarder was getting ready. I unplugged it years ago.
@buckbuck That drove me crazy too, so when in installed the replacement I clocked/rotated it almost 45 degrees so the volume button isn't up high in the line of wakeboard fire. No more sudden volume explosions.

I'm trying to figure out how to unplug my back remote too but cannot find where it splits off to. I cannot find it any where behind the helm or by the back cabin speakers.
The pig tail from the remote is only about 16" long. The cable from the helm goes all the way back into the swim platform. When I removed the cup holder near the remote, I could reach in and feel a coil of cable that was zipped tied. I was able to disconnect the cable with one hand (with a little effort).
